English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC)
The purpose of the English Learner Advisory Committee is to advise the principal and school staff about the needs and services of programs that exist and will be implemented for English learners. It requires 4 legal duties.
- Provide input for the SchoolPlan (SPSA) based on the needs of the school.
- Assisting in the development of the schoolwide needs assessment.
- Ways to make parents aware of the importance of regular school attendance.
- Each ELAC shall have the opportunity to elect at least one member to the District English Learner Advisory Committee (DELAC).
El propósito del Comité Asesor de Estudiantes de Inglés es asesorar al director y al personal de la escuela sobre las necesidades y servicios de los programas que existen y que se implementarán para los estudiantes de inglés. Requiere 4 deberes legales.
- Proporcionar información para el Plan Único para el Logro Estudiantil (SPSA) según las necesidades de la escuela.
- Colaborar en el desarrollo de la evaluación de necesidades de toda la escuela.
- Formas de concientizar a los padres sobre la importancia de la asistencia regular a la escuela.
- Cada ELAC tendrá la oportunidad de elegir al menos a un miembro para el Comité Asesor Distrital para Estudiantes de Inglés (DELAC).
